One of the most beautiful tours in the Dominican Republic is the
visit to the Sanctuary of Humpback Whales in Samana
Samna’s whales are well known. Each year 3 to 5 thousand
Humpback Whales return to Bhatia de Samana and adjacent
waters to give birth and mate for the following year from
January until March, frolicsome males can be observed
competing on their tails [and heads, too], Flipper, tailing and
standing on their tails (and heads, too!), flipper, tailing and
all sorts of antics. Excursions leave from several points along
the north shore of the bay. Samana’s whales are truly an
International treasure and are fully protected by the Dominican Republic
Government.
Bonao

Bonao is a jewel of a town that offers hotels, terrace cafes, pubs and
restaurants, cultural center, clubs, golf, hiking, horseback riding,
mountain climbing, exploring taino caves, every year it explodes into
a riot of color and energy as the enthusiastictowns folk celebrate one
of the most attractive and hedonistic carnival around. In fact, throughout
the year, the people of Bonao are always looking for a reason to party.

Bonao has been advancing towards modernity with remarkably good
taste. The splendid Plaza de Cultural leads the way – a haven for artists,
musicians, dancers and curious visitors. In addition, an array of
sophisticated eateries and bars has emerged alongside the old lanes of
Charming Antillean merchant stores. In short, one can enjoy the thriving
new tourist attractions while still absorbing the placid provincial ambience.

Perhaps Bonao,s greatest assets is its proximity to the Cordillera Central.
The cool mountains villages of Los Quemados and Blanco are a window
to another time. Here more than anywhere in the country you’ll encounter
the authentic, warm hospitality of the Dominican campo.

It’s a pleasure to wander along endless roads and trails that offer
breathtaking views of the mountains and wide landscapes- a hidden jewel
For treasure seekers and adventures.

Las Terrenas

Once a sleepy, little fishing village on the North Coast of the Samana
Peninsula, today’s Las Terrenas is a prime vacation destination for visitors
to the Dominican Republic.

With miles of undeveloped white-sandy beaches and protected inshore
waters, this city of over 11,000 people is a bustling center of activity. And
although fishing is still an important part of local life, the allure of this
tropical paradise has fueled its growth to become an important part of the
world’s rapidly growing, recreational market. Very cool place, wind, kite
and board surfing to the max with fab nightlife.
